Got a blog section on your website and run out of ideas to write blogs? This blog will be your inspiration for the day!
If you’ve got a blog and not the time to write, you need a team of storytellers and we are it! (Shameless plug-in? Kinda!)
If you don’t have a blog section and still clicked on this, it’s time to get one! Organic growth with SEO is driven by blogs, both short and long.
Here are some ideas to feed freshness into the blog section:
1. Not everything has to be about the product
We love broadening the horizons of a brand. Not every blog needs to have a product plug-in. Discover new themes for your brand, and build brand properties. For example, if you sell candles, write about topics like aromatherapy and its benefits. If you sell healthy snacks, give readers ideas on how to make exercise a fun activity.
2. When it is about the product…
There’s only so many times you can give detailed descriptions of every product. Once that is done, then what? Let the creative juices flow! If you are a food brand, create a recipe blog section. If you sell footwear, create a photo blog like, “A day in the life of XYZ’s shoes”, and share the shoe’s daily journey.
3. People actually love hearing from founders!
In humanizing the brand and making it more relatable, bringing in the founders themselves really helps. There’s a lot that founders can write about. You could consider having an exclusive section on the blog where the founders write a special feature once every fortnight or so.
4. Add real value
Identify domain experts in your industry and invite them to write guest blogs. This could be an interview-style blog where the experts give real valuable information to readers, or well just entertain them – depending on the product or industry. For a skincare brand, you could invite a dermatologist to discuss a pointed topic.
5. Blogs don’t have to be all text
Written content is essential but it doesn’t have to be just that. Add some pizzazz with pictures and videos!
