A Gemini’s Confession

Written by Nandini Sethi

Hi, nice to meet you,

My name is and all the other formalities,

That I don’t wish to comply with.

I can’t be bothered to tie my hair and polish my shoes,

And the last thing I would like to do is be one time,

I have better things to do with my time. Sleep.

I won’t end my sentences with full stops,

I have lots of things I want to say,

Even after I’m done talking.

I am not going to wear business casuals,

Because it just doesn’t make sense:

Are you doing business or are you into casuals?

I’m not going to drink on a night out,

And I’m not going to wear thermals in the snow,

And I will not get married at 25, with 2 kids at 30.

Hello, my name is whatever I’m feeling that moment,

Because I know I will hate it the next day;

So you will never know me, or what I plan to say.

I’m not a rebel, or a pessimist,

Just a girl bored of the world,

And its magical yet monotonous ways.

Sometimes dolefully insightful, sometimes plain distressed state of mind, but always love. I think there’s a bit of love in everything we write.
