Sun shining,
Waves rolling incessantly.
The shore, all hot and soft.
Spade and shovel in hand,
She builds sand castles.
Gazing across the sea,
I see the wide horizon –
The frame;
And we, the picture in it.
A time lapse.
The sand slowly cools.
The setting sun diffuses
Into the expanse of the sky.
An orange-red roof above us.
‘Life is exquisite’, I think,
When a big wave swallows her castles.
