Its been a while since I finally
Accepted the end.
But my heart cries everytime
I think of how we ended
Our beautiful journey.

How I waited for so long,
Not because my heart craved for
Your love but some corner of my
Heart believed the good in you.
The last time I held your hand,
I knew the end was near
And I walked away not because
You stopped wanting me,
But because I no longer loved
Myself by loving you.
My heart often splits open,
When my thoughts travel back,
To the days when you held me tight
And we kissed under the star filled sky.
I guess we didn’t belong with each other
But somehow I felt safe around you.
Which let me unlock my best version before you.
You didn’t fight for me
And that showed we weren’t meant to be.
