Written by Nandini Sethi
I am blind without colour,
Deaf without sound,
I sit in a void, just for a moment,
And touch what feels like nothingness.
I envy the air, stretching all across as one,
But it is fire that consumes me;
I envy water, unbreakable until broken,
But I am rooted in the earth,
Bound by dirt.
The filth and jealousy,
The mud and prosperity,
I don’t want it any part of it.
I am rich without money,
Happy without reason,
I sit in a void, just for a moment,
And touch what feels like everything,
At once.
