Lessons Learnt in 2020

Written by Ramya Basker

Despite the fact 2020 has taken a toll on all of us, it has also taught us a lot of things which we would have otherwise failed to apply in our day to day lives.

1)Enjoying solitude: Learn to be content with ourselves without depending on others and live happily.

2)Practice acceptance: Appreciating what we already have instead of yearning for more. Value even the trivial things in your life.

3)Keep yourself fit: Becoming our best self without procrastinating exercising. We should never forget the proverb Health is Wealth.

4)Family first: As most of us are working from home, we get more time to spend with our families though there would be a massive burden sitting on our heads. Make the maximum use of it.

5)Live in the present: Don’t let your thoughts wander in the past or future. Let it go with the flow. Anything can happen. Don’t take things for granted.

6)Effective usage of time: There is plenty of time we are getting for ourselves due to the pandemic. We should use it effectively either by relaxing, reading a book, engaging in some new activities like teaching kids who have been struggling because of the online classes.

7)Hygiene is important: Maintaining social distance wherever we go, wearing masks, using sanitizers should be compulsorily followed.

2020 was a year filled with doubts and fear, but we can’t deny the valuable lessons we’ve learnt from it.
