I heard it a thousand times earlier “You only live once”, they say
I’ve seen people keeping a closed door
Just to stay off everyone’s way.
Isn’t it beautiful to let the light in?
In your room and into your soul?
With a new chapter to begin,
And your dreams to have no control.
We all have an unfinished chapter
Kind of a dreadful and baffling state
Nothing seems to be right, but only a catastrophe.
And all of a sudden the havoc it creates.
You feel a hush so awkward
Something you’ve never felt before
As if you only want to be heard
But you are too far from the shore.
All the wounds and pain and hurt
You learn from them in depth
When you get stronger, you convert
With all these years inside what you’ve preserved.
This feeling so bizarre
Makes your heart beat faster
And your eyes hardly fill with tears
Feeling like a part of a body has a plaster.
You don’t talk much about this phase
But it keeps you thinking away,
Yet you deal it your own way,
As if you’re walking on a long highway.
When you see your soul split into two
You start fighting an unending war within
Something like this you never knew
Some unknown fear gets your mind to spin.
We all reach to stage too decisive,
When fear controls all our emotions,
Heart when experiences loss so massive
We swim into acceptance of an ocean.
